Questions Are Welcome
You don't have to have everything figured out before taking the next step.
Here are answers to some of the questions you may have about mental fitness, the 7-Week Mental Fitness Experience, and working with me.
If you're still wondering about something, you're always welcome to reach out.
One thing at a time is enough.
Taking the first step toward greater self-awareness and intention doesn't have to be overwhelming. Find answers to the most common questions about the experience below, and discover how this practice can seamlessly integrate into your life.
Mental fitness is the practice of strengthening your ability to notice your thoughts and reactions without automatically being controlled by them.
Just as physical fitness develops through consistent practice, mental fitness develops through small exercises that help you respond to challenges with greater awareness, perspective and choice.
The 7-Week Mental Fitness Experience uses the Positive Intelligence® (PQ®) framework as part of this practice.
Positive Intelligence® is a mental fitness framework that helps you recognize automatic patterns of thinking — often called Saboteurs — and practice responding differently.
Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or force yourself to “think positively,” the work helps you become more aware of the patterns influencing your reactions so you can make more intentional choices.
The Mental Fitness Experience is seven weeks.
During those seven weeks, you'll combine guided learning and short daily practices through the Positive Intelligence® app with coaching and opportunities to apply what you're learning to real situations in your life.
The experience is built around small, consistent practices rather than long daily assignments.
You'll use the PQ® app for short lessons and mental fitness exercises throughout the week and bring what you're noticing into your coaching work.
The goal isn't perfection. It's practice.
No.
You don't need previous coaching experience, a meditation practice, or special knowledge about mental fitness.
You simply need to be willing to become curious about your patterns and practice something different.
No. Mental fitness coaching is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, medical care, diagnosis, or a replacement for working with a licensed healthcare or mental health professional.
Coaching focuses on awareness, practice, personal growth and how you want to move forward.
Women may bring situations involving overthinking, self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, boundaries, difficult conversations, work pressure, relationships, confidence, or the feeling that they are responsible for everyone around them.
The work isn't about becoming someone else.
It's about understanding your patterns and practicing responses that feel more intentional and aligned with who you want to be.
In the Positive Intelligence® framework, Saboteurs are habitual patterns of thinking that can influence how we respond to stress and challenges.
For example, you might notice patterns involving self-criticism, perfectionism, worry, avoidance, people-pleasing or the need to stay in control.
The goal isn't to judge these patterns. It's to become better at recognizing them.
No.
You decide what you want to bring into coaching and what you prefer to keep private.
The goal is to create a supportive space where you can explore what feels useful and relevant to you.
The seven weeks are designed to help you establish a mental fitness practice and greater awareness of your patterns.
Near the end of the experience, we'll reflect on what you've learned, what has changed, where you still feel challenged, and what practices you want to continue using in everyday life.
